WELCOME TO IFCNR

Equilibrium, respect, and fairness describe core characteristics of  the International Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources as it strives to help the conservation of all of Nature's resources: wildlife, wild places, and humans alike.

Fisheries, Aquaculture and seafood are vital components of humanity's quest to meet world nutrition needs.  The challenges of how to increase protein from marine sources while conserving and rebuilding wild stocks can and will be met if cooperation and respect are hallmarks of our collective endeavors.

Biotechnology's applications to biomedical research and agricultural production offer huge benefits for humans, animals, and Earth itself. Such advancements are made despite constant attacks from critics who promote fear, not knowledge.

IFCNR takes a holistic view of protecting wildlife and wild places that includes preserving human cultures. Conservation & preservation of wild resources requires a measured degree of sustainable use.

Agricultural ecology touches every human endeavor. To live, we must eat.  Balancing the need for food production with efforts to preserve our wild places and species is a chief concern of IFCNR.
